Michaela Kadavy, MA, LIMHP, LPC
Michaela creates a space in her counseling sessions for humor, honesty, and healing. She considers it a privilege to walk with people through seasons of change and restoration. Her playful and sensitive nature helps clients feel safe to explore, grow, and discover new things about themselves and their relationships. Michaela loves working with women, kids, and teens.
Now for the background stuff: Michaela earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary, where she learned to blend strong clinical skills with meaningful spiritual integration in line with the desires of her clients. She uses Family Systems, Person-Centered, and DBT approaches in her sessions. She is EMDR trained through an EMDRIA-approved program and has advanced training in spiritual integration, somatic modalities, trauma and OCD treatments. She believes real transformation happens when faith and evidence-based counseling meet.
Before becoming a counselor, Michaela spent time in overseas mission work, nonprofit leadership, and in schools across Denver, Lincoln, and Beatrice — as well as with Head Start Nebraska.
Outside of work, Michaela loves being outdoors — reading in her hammock, camping, boating, or exploring Lincoln’s trails, farmers’ markets, and parks with her family. She’s happiest around a table full of board games, good food, and great community.
Michaela accepts self-pay, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Midlands Choice, Medica, and United Healthcare/UMR/Optum.
