Jackie Petersen, MA, PLMHP

Jackie believes that healing happens best in the context of a safe, genuine relationship. In her therapy room, you’ll find a calm and compassionate space where there’s no rush to “fix” things — only an invitation to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with what matters to you most.

Jackie incorporates acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and narrative therapy into her work, integrating elements of attachment theory and mindfulness. She is especially drawn to deeper, slower work with clients navigating depression, grief, identity exploration, life transitions, and the lingering effects of past experiences. Jackie views therapy as a collaborative process, where clients are experts of their own stories and healing unfolds through curiosity, meaning-making, and self-compassion.

Jackie holds a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Crown College, and is a provisionally licensed mental health practitioner (PLMHP). Her approach is trauma-informed and client-centered, and she is comfortable incorporating a Christian worldview for those who wish to integrate faith into their healing process.

Outside of her counseling work, Jackie enjoys long walks outside, going on road trips, reading psychological thrillers over an iced latte, and spending time with friends and family.

Jackie accepts self-pay, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medica, Cigna, and Midlands Choice.
